Since 2004, the Global
Youth Partnership for Africa has organized Youth Summits and Immersions in
Uganda, Cameroon and Sierra Leone. These programs have focused on timely development
themes that include: Sports for Social Change, HIV/AIDS and Health for Development,
Peace Building, and Social Entrepreneurship. Overall, more than 500 youth
from
North America, Europe and Africa have established new partnerships, friendships
to aid in enhancing the global community.
The Andean Outreach Program
was founded in 2005 by a group of international volunteers who had worked
in South America and wanted to continue to make a difference. After almost
three years, the AOP has completed a number of small Community Development
Projects that promote solidarity, help fight poverty, and encourage positive
social change. In 2007, the Andean Outreach Program ran an Immersion Program
in Huancayo Peru to foster a cultural exchange, provide volunteers to ongoing
projects, and implement community development projects.
